DOLL COLLECTION
It's not hard to see a likeness between some styles for Winter 2007/08 and the charming miniature garments worn by dolls. The voluminous and boxy silhouettes, together with the use of stiff couture fabrics like brocade and the ultra-simple styling, remind us of Barbie visiting the opera, dressed in vintage Balenciaga. Or of a souvenir doll from some Eastern European country, beautifully decorated with rhinestones and embroidery. Think A or bell silhouettes here, for skirts but also for tops.
