Don't be shocked this winter if David Beckham is surprised by paparazzi wearing a tracksuit covered in the same cheerful patterns as the pj's he dozed off in as a toddler. If Adidas and Nike want to intensify their recent flirtation with high fashion, they had better take the colourful patterns of the '80s as their main inspiration. They'll have to walk that risky line between good and bad taste, because tomorrow's tracksuits are one ironic wink to the little shop of print horrors - much like the '70s wallpaper prints from a few seasons ago.
