From Habitat's 2003 Christmas lighting collection: this concept by designers Tsé and Tsé takes the organic form of blossoming branches and twigs. It won't be long before Christmas lights are integrated into wallpaper itself. Tomorrow's luminous wallpaper will be as easy as the ABC's. Small luminous points will imitate starry skies, form decorative stripes, and, as glittering sequins, make well-known flower patterns shine. And why stop at lighting? Because, wallpaper in the future might very well serve as super-surround speakers, central heating, or a pleasant aromatic dispenser. Phillips, this is your wake up call!
